July 3rd... Jones family Cabin

Yes... we took yet another trip.  A quick one to Montana for the Fourth of July celebration and more importantly it was an opportunity for all of me and my siblings to be in town together at the same time, take family pictures and do the temple work for my Grandma who passed last May.  It was a really special time for our family.

Highlights from the 3rd at the Cabin:  

Playing hide-and-seek with my Uncle Kent's family.  The boys LOVED it!  I loved it!

Cory betting $.25 to anyone who could run in free during hide-and-seek (we only ended up $.75 in the hole) It was fun!  

Brooklyn telling me (about 5 times) not to wake up the Mad Lady in our room (kind of a scary painting in the red room at the cabin).  It was so cute!

When my brother is around he is always up to something crazy.  This day he and my bro-in-law Gabe (right) decided to keep the mosquitos (which were HORRIBLE) off by covering their bodies in mud, while they built a raft with some rope and logs.

We were all anxious to see them float down on the said raft.

Crystal hoping to catch the anti-climatic launch... well, except for Gabe getting pinned between a tree and Spencer on the log raft.  Instead Spencer decided to torment his sister with a hug... well, almost.

Briggs was stalwart... there until the end to watch these guys.  He also kept that stick with him the entire time we were at the Cabin.

The water was soooo high and so fast.  It was a little nerve-wrecking to keep tabs on all the kids that were up at the cabin.  Spencer reminded me (and my kids) that when we were little there were no side rails on the bridge and it was much more narrow.  I'd totally forgotten that.

Ethan and that fire.  He once got in trouble and had to go to time-out.  On his way out of time-out he claimed that he didn't know where the fire was as he sulked and cried (rather loudly) from behind my grandparents car.  He made quite the scene.  I guess it wouldn't be family vacation if someone didn't break down in a major way.  A big thanks to Cory for handling it with such grace.
