Look who's 2!!

Today our little Brooklyn turned 2! It is crazy how fast time flies! This is our 3rd birthday of the month; just one more this month and we can breathe a sigh of relief until October.

For her birthday we had a fun little family party at a splash park. It turned out to be a hot and beautiful day. We snacked on chips and salsa, Cheetos (a favorite among the kids!!), and grapes until the party. Brooklyn had been eyeing her cupcakes all day long and was thrilled to finally dig in! She was so excited; it was really cute! She also LOVED opening her presents! She was shaking with excitement! To finish off the day she wanted to ride the "horta's" and so daddy took her on the Carousel! She sang on the way home and talked about the horses! We sure love our little girl; she is such a blessing to us!

Some fun things about Brooklyn:
-She doesn't like bread unless it's on pizza, crackers, the outside of chicken nuggets etc. (it's frustrating)
-She loves anything with cheese...and anything sweet
-She loves pink and anything girly
-Has been completely potty trained for a week now; she has done awesome!
-Loves flipflops and shoes!
-She is a bright light in our family and can be super sassy if you cross her or if she doesn't like something and has recently started throwing herself on the ground when she's mad
-She is a "go-girl" and hates to be left behind
-Loves nursery
-Loves her brothers and they adore her too

This picture is so Ethan! He is sure loving his 2nd-cousin Carter!

Hansen family reunion-June 27th (Sunday)

I'm about a month behind but I gotta start somewhere so here it goes!!

The first Sunday that everyone got here from Cory's family it was a special event for our niece Drewe. Her father Troy passed away 3 years ago this September and Drewe asked Uncle Cory if he would baptize her; he felt very honored. The baptism was really special and emotional.

Boy that boy is so cute!!

Brooklyn loves her girl cousins!!

Following the baptism we had a brunch at Cory's parents house before church at 11. It is always nice to be with family.

I love the picture of the boys church shoes bouncing on the trampoline

Carson and Kristine being silly

Enjoying yummy food

Love my boys

Ennie-I-Over

Late Sunday night we headed over to Cory's Grandparents house to play Ennie-I-Over; an old family tradition where you divide into two teams and one team is in the front of the house and the other team is in the back. You yell Ennie-I-Over when your team throws the tennis ball over the roof. If the team on the opposite side catches it then then run around the house with the ball and try to peg a player from the other team. If they get someone then that person is then on their team. It goes on and on until everyone is on one team. It was soooo much fun! I'd never played before and it turned out to be a perfect evening.

Cory's grandparents were the perfect hosts and treated us all to popsicles when we were all done. Brooklyn and Rigdon naturally didn't play with us but they played in the hose water instead and each ate a few popsicles. Ethan and Canyon had fun batting Great-Grandpa's trees out back and having the little flowers fall on their heads like snow. I was too busy playing to catch those photos!

Enjoying popsicles after an intense game!! Cory's family is pretty competitive!

On our way home we took our little family over to see Cory's old 90-year old neighbor Wilma! She is such a sweet and wonderful lady. Cory and her reminisced about Tippy, their dog, and fun paper-route memories and her late-husband Fred! We will definitely going back to visit her again soon!
