Brooklyn's Blessing Dress Photos

Here are the photos I took of Brooklyn today! I am pretty happy with them considering I only have a point-and-shoot camera! Still trying to convince my honey that I need a nicer camera; maybe for christmas right? Anyway, here is Brooklyn! I'm always looking to improve so I'd love to hear your comments!

Ward Party

Here is a photo of the boys in their costumes before the ward party. It took some convincing for Briggs to let me put make-up on him because he "didn't want us to a laugh at him" (because we were laughing at how cute Ethan was with his make-up on) so one little promise to not laugh and a tootsie roll later, he let me finish his "jack Sparo" pirate costume; they're pretty cute and so bribable at this age.

Our little "Hot Stuff" girl!

The boys love donuts, what can I say . . . they take after their parents!!

Fun with Grandparents!!

Well, my parents just left today; so sad. We had two great weeks with family here (Cory's and mine) and it has been just wonderful. It is always a little lonely when they leave; I'm sure many of you can relate. We had such a great time and are so grateful for all that they did for us and all the fun memories we made while they were here. We love you and can't wait to see you again!

This is one of my favorite photos with Brooklyn and my dad! So cute!

I want you to know that I've never seen my mom climb a rock wall before, so for sure this one had to make the blog entry! Love you mom!

The kids had a blast playing on the jungle-gym with grandma and grandpa and playing hide-and-seek! It was a perfect morning!

Brooklyn's blessing

Yesterday Cory gave Brooklyn a beautiful blessing! We felt so blessed to be surrounded by so many friends and family; thank you to those who traveled to be with us! Here are a few photos of our day! Thanks for making the day so special! I plan on taking some photos of her in her dress this week (hopefully anyway, it is on my list of things to do.) Until then . . .

Brooklyn

Just wanted to share a few photos of Brooklyn. My cousin Lindsay gave Brooklyn this adorable outfit that I absolutely love; she looks just like a little school girl. What a sweet baby girl! The other is of our little one sucking her thumb. As much as I really don't like the idea of a "thumb sucker" she looks so darn cute!

Pigeon Roost

Here are some photos from the Pigeon Roost we took the kids to yesterday. We had a fun time and the kids really enjoyed themselves; fall is in the air!

Fall is here

I love fall; the trees are absolutely beautiful right now!! Here are a few photos with Cory's sister Jodi, and his parents and some with the kids. These were taken at Creekside in downtown Gahanna, where we live.

Monday Night Football!!

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!! Well, Monday afternoon, some friends of ours took our kids overnight so Cory and I could take his parents to the Cleveland Browns vs. New York Giants game!! Wow! I have never experienced such an event! Cory, went out earlier that day with Briggs and his dad and decided to buy us all NY Giants shirts; already are you seeing the problem. We drive down to Cleveland and had a hotel about 4 blocks away (4 verrrrry loooonngg blocks). I'm already not sure that I want to be donning a NY shirt in downtown cleveland at 8 pm at night but off we go. As we approach the stadium the crowd is multiplying and we are starting to get cat calls and harassments from every side with which Cory found very amusing and so did we because, well, what else are we supposed to do! Cory who stood out the most is his brilliant blue shirt, in a sea of brown, got most of the attention and was enjoying the moment like a little kid in a candy store; all smiles, and just confident as could be as the resident pot-stirrer! Carl and Judy stayed close behind us and were really good sports. Have you ever been to a game where the majority of the stands is chanting expletives? Well, I hadn't until this past Monday. Anyway, it was a lot of fun! Cory thought that NY who was 5-0 would beat Cleveland who was 0-4 (or something like that) anyway, it was a huge upset and Cleveland killed NY. After the 3rd interception on NY I decided that "if you can't beat them, you join them" and we started cheering with all the Cleveland fans; it was a great time!

Happy Birthday Briggs

Well, on the 7th Briggs turned the big number "4!" He is so much fun to have in our family! We had a fun hot dog cookout with a bunch of neighbors and friends, a pinata, and a Lightening McQueen cake which Briggs was so excited about. After his party he kept saying, "I just loved loved loved loved my cake!" and he even remembered it in his prayers. It sure makes those late night cake decorating moments worth it! Cory and I bought some fun little foam swords and that occupied most of the boys for about an hour just running around hitting each other. As much as you try to avoid the whole gun and swords thing I think it is inevitable with little boys. Anyway, I think it turned out well and I think Briggs really enjoyed himself! Thanks for all who came and made the day so special for him!

This is Briggs after the pinata was broken

His cake . . .

The crown he got at preschool. Preschool was actually on his birthday and he was so excited that they sang to him; he felt pretty special!

Pig Roast

I took these of the kids at this fun Pig Roast we went to. The food was great, the company better, and the kids loved playing together. Ethan enjoyed giving kisses and playing with Lora's baby.

These are some photos of Briggs with his friends Abby, Carter, and Gracie. We enjoy our friends so much here! Thanks for such a great time!

And this is what we found . . .

a few weeks ago when Cory and I went to kiss the boys goodnight . . . What a funny little boy!

This one was during a Sunday nap . . . We're definitely going to miss these moments when he gets older.
