Easter Sunday

Here are some photos I took of the boys at Cory's cousin Tami's house. They live about 45 minutes from us and were so gracious to have us up for a WONDERFUL Easter dinner. The food was great and the boys loved playing outside with all their animals and just exploring. We had a great time. Thanks Brent and Tami!







This is our little Ethan who is at a VERY demanding stage in his development right now and this is him saying "UP, UP, UP" all he wants to do is just jump on that trampoline!!



The Easter bunny brought Briggs some bubbles and Cory spent a lot of time outside with Briggs and Tami and Brent's kids doing bubbles so they could hit them with their sticks; the kids loved it!



Ethan is holding a little baby bunny and the poor bunny looks like it is holding on for dear life as he clutches it around the neck; sure makes a cute picture though!







Our cute little Briggs is getting so big! He loved playing outside running around with the older kids! He also loved holding and petting all the fluffy white bunnies! We had a great Easter!

The Easter Bunny

A few weeks ago we were walking through the mall and Briggs saw the Easter Bunny. He began waving at him and the Easter Bunny waved back; and this continued for what seemed several minutes. Eventually we made our way over and he got to take a picture with him; he was sooooo excited. He also loved getting a golden chocolate coin and bunny ears from him. Ethan on the other hand wanted nothing to do with the "strange" Easter bunny; I'm sure that will change in years to come!!

Wow....So this is what it feels like!

Hmm..Hmm. So, this is the first time that I've ventured to the "backside" of our blog web page and seeing for the first time where all the magic happens (written, I mean) Yes, this is Cory. The only reason why I'm doing this is because Lisa and I finally got our Mac computer over the weekend and the newness of this great machine is just too much for us to handle one-at-a-time.:) So we are sitting here side by side in front of the Mac looking at each of us open our emails - kind of wierd - never done that before - Lisa's right here correcting me as i write...still making fun of my writing...rolling her eyes...yes, I can see them out of the corner of my eye. Can I start writing on my own now? She said...Yes. After looking at each of our emails she clicked on the web page and said she wanted me to write. So here I am.
Something cool to say...this week whilst driving to work and listening to Mix 97.1, the DJ's announced they needed two "manly men" to call in for a contest...I didn't even know what the prize was but there was no doubt in my mind that they were asking for Cory Hansen, that's right, the most manly man in Columbus, OH. Long story short... myself and this other guy were pitted against each other to answer these apparently "touchy-feely" questions. First question was.."When was the last time you cried in front of your wife in a not-so-serious moment?" Competition's answer: "Never"...Oh, boy, I was in trouble. My answer: "Last week when we were watching Extreme Makeover-Home Edition." Next question: "Guess how many times your competition has cried in front of their wife in all?" My answer for him: "5"... His answer: "22" ...I'm insulted. Correct answer for him: 0. Correct answer for me: 18. So they deemed us both winners! The prize... a $200 shoe shopping spree for our wives at big shopping mall here in Columbus. Moral of the story...I get exposed in front of everyone here in Columbus and my wife gets to go shopping for free. Go figure. Alright, I doubt I'll be posting anymore Blogs I'll leave this action up to Lisa. Peace..Word up...I'm out.

Snowed in . . .

Over the weekend Columbus beat it's previous snow accumulation record of 15 inches from back in 1910. We got a whopping 20 inches of snow, and drifts upwards of 3 feet in a matter of 2 days. Now I know that doesn't seem to be much snow to all of our friends and family in Eastern Idaho, and some of the upper northern states, but it was definitely a whirlwind here for a few days; I wish I had $10 for each car that I saw stuck in our intersection outside our apartment and on the road yesterday; I would have had quite a chunk of change. Cory helped a few people get unstuck as we cheered him on from the comfort of our warm apartment "go daddy go, go daddy go." to which Briggs pointed out that, "HE CAN'T HEAR US!" It has finally calmed down and the sun is shining.

Church was cancelled today and we were looking at another wintry day inside. Cory called the bishop to see if we could do sacrament; he said that would be great. So, we all got dressed and ready for Sacrament in our apartment. For our talks I shared President Hinkley's message from the Ensign, Briggs told us the story of the Tree of Life, and Cory selected a General Conference talk, that we watched, by President Eyring, on the Tender mercies of the Lord and the importance of keeping our family record. I was bummed that we didn't get to go to church but our day turned out pretty special after all. I think that would be just one of those tender mercies!

Our computer just died a few weeks ago and I lost everyone's blog addresses that was saved under my Internet favorites. Can you send me your blog addresses again. Also can someone tell me how I add those links to my own blog page so I don't loose them again. I see a lot of my friends have their friends/family lists and I have looked several times to see how to do the same and I must just be missing something. Any help would be great! Thanks!

It's a GIRL!!!

Well, as you can see from our title, we are having a little girl! We are so excited! When we asked Briggs earlier in the day what he wanted, either another brother or a little sister, he replied, "a little sister," when asked why, he said, "so I can put a bow on her head." Pretty cute. I'm not sure where he learned the word "bow" but I guess he thinks that would be great! Anyway, we are thrilled and I can't wait to go out and buy my first totally pink and girly outfit!
