Day 2... San Diego or bust

A coloring book that Dottie gave Brooklyn before we left
Driving.  Stopping to use bathroom.  Driving.  Stopping to use bathroom.  Driving.  Stopping to use bathroom (that was literally the first 2 hours).  Then some more driving.  Stopped at In-n-Out Burger in St George.  Drove some more.  Stopped at the Disney outlet in Vegas (hoping to score some souvenirs at a fraction of the cost; but wasn't all that impressed).  Drove some more and ate at Chipotle somewhere between here and there.  Arrived in San Diego around 6:30 their time.  It was a 12 1/2 hour trip with lots of stopping along the way.

Over all the kids did really well.  Sterling had a few hours in there where he was really NOT happy, but other than that we can't complain.  Things to remember:

Pumping in the car to feed Sterling on the road
Talk of inventing a pump that went straight from the babies mouth to the mother without the machine; Cory's got dibs on that invention
A good conversation with Cory on not judging others; something we're trying to be better at doing
Ethan's crazy bed-head hair after his nap in car; it actually was bed-heady on both sides of his head, it was pretty funny
Ethan asking when we're going to be there and daddy telling him not to ask until it's dark outside.  It actually worked pretty well (much better than yesterday)
The kids asking for lots of snacks
Brooklyn saying she's hungry about 57 times because she never eats her meals
Blond oreos with chocolate... can I say yum?!?!?!
The kids listening to the Brite books, Honesty, Obedience, and Courage... "come along to the land of Obey... where the people are happy they say..."  Sound familiar?  Well, it brought back a lot of memories for me
Listening to Bill Harley's Big Big World, and Wacka Wacka Woo
A few kid movies after leaving Vegas
Arriving at our hotel and there were bunk beds in a separate room for the kids; how great is that!  Yea for Marriott points (which we no longer will have after this trip)
Taking the kids swimming in the outdoor pool.  70 degrees outside.  And the water was in the pool was warm!  It was great!
Scriptures, prayer, and best of all bedtime... sweet, beloved bedtime!

All things considered it was a great trip.  Can't wait for Sea World tomorrow!
Silly Briggs enjoying a snack before bedtime

Not the best pictures but they were sure cute!

First experience bonking her head under the bunk bed
Crazy kids

Trying... trying to get the kids settled for scriptures

I LOVE those Brite books. My favorite is the gratitude. "When you have a gratitude attitude....." It gets stuck in my head.

Have fun on your vacay!
