So a few weeks ago Cory decided to run for Precinct Committeeman in our area (there are 50 in our county and no one has represented our precinct for 4 years). This was the opportunity he'd been looking for and so for about four days he and I went door-to-door trying to gather voting confidence and explain that because he was a write-in candidate they have special rules for putting his name on the ballot so we gave them stickers that they could put in the write-in section. It was a stressful week for Cory especially and the day of the election was no different as his opponent decided to pay someone to park out on the street before you got to the voting and hand out stickers. Cory went over there for a little bit and was able to get a few more votes. Cory won taking 57% of the votes. It was a close race!
